Im 5ft 11 (Australian size 12 to 14) and bought the size large and they are perfect, however i do wear pants on my hips, if i was to wear them higher they might become short on the ankles, stiff fabric but has a soft feel to it and doesn't look as if it is stiff.

It does have spandex in it. Therefore, they stretch.
