what i've found with us sizing its always bigger!....for example if you take a xl in a t shirt order a large......and i'm pretty sure its the same for trousers and shorts.......dr jays a very good at notifying this in their description of the product on the item page you are viewing.......usually stating....."this item is U.S Sizing"........from experience and unnecessary disappointment.....if in doubt.....i 'size down'..!.....hope this is of help to you.
