I am a size 6 in jackets and I bought a large. The arms are too small and I could not move in them, even though I went a size up. I wouldn't buy this if I were you. I'd return it but that's too much hassle.

A size 16 UK would be equivalent to a US size 14 or US Large/XL. Thanks for the question!
