Pretty much as pictured. It's hard to measure, because the neckline swoops. I'm 5'3" and it's as pictured. I bought a 1x and it's pretty roomy. It covers my behind hits around crotch - I have a long trunk. I roughly measured from the shoulder and it's about 28" with a 1-2 inch margin of error - lol. It has so many pleats. I think you'll be fine, it has a top underneath it. The cute little ties on the arms are adjustable.
