Sizing Help?

Hi, The comments on the basic essentials track suit with studs say that it runs VERY small. One person said the 4x fit someone who wears a medium. That seems crazy. Do you have any help on sizing? I typically wear a 12-14 (large). It would hurt my ego very much to buy a 4x, but I would do it if it would fit :)
